The East West Psychology Department (EWP) offers a global approach to the exploration and study of psychology and spirituality.
Jason K. Norris, Ph.D. candidate, M.A., is founder and executive director of the House of Living Rhythm (HoLR), a nonprofit community learning center in downtown Lakeport, CA. He is also owner of Lucid Drum, where he promotes hand drumming and dreaming as community-based wellness practices. A life-long musician, sound healing practitioner, dream worker, and researcher of consciousness, Jason has been involved with organizations such as the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) and the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD). His research examines "sonic mysticism" and "rhythm psychology" within cross-cultural wisdom traditions, and his dissertation articulates the phenomenon of entrainment (when one moving rhythm matches another moving rhythm) as a means of consciousness transformation and eco-social sustainability in everyday life.
