CIIS Non-Discrimination Policy

California Institute of Integral Studies is an equal opportunity institution of higher education and does not discriminate. In accordance with applicable federal and state law, the University prohibits discrimination in employment, educational services, or academic programs on the basis of any protected class, including race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, sex characteristics, pregnancy, disability, medical condition (cancer related or genetic characteristics), ancestry, marital and parenting status, citizenship, military service, or any other basis prohibited by law. CIIS has tasked certain offices with responding to inquiries of our non-discrimination policy as well as accepting reports and complaints of unlawful discrimination:

  • To inquire or file a complaint regarding harassment or discrimination based on any protected class except sex (including gender), contact Human Resources at lhammond@ciis.edu
  • To inquire or file a complaint of harassment of discrimination based on sex (including gender), contact the Interim Title IX Coordinator at titleix@ciis.edu
  • If you are uncertain of what kind of discrimination you need to report, contact either office and they can assist with routing your complaint to the appropriate office.
