Choreographer and MFA Professor Anne Bluethenthal Named One of San Francisco's "12 Inspiring Women"
Anne Bluethenthal, professor of CIIS' Master of Fine Arts program, has been named one of San Francisco's 12 most inspiring women by Hoodline. Anne is cited for her exciting choreography project Skywatchers, a collaboration with the local residents of the Tenderloin neighborhood.

Anne is also opening a new dance show called Andares. Featuring the Compañia Nacional de Danza and local performers in collaboration with six local artists who participated in the Salvadoran revolutionary struggle, this multi-disciplinary performance weaves together personal stories of struggle, love and resilience through narrative, poetry, visual art, live music and world-class dance.

Directed by Anne Bluethenthal (Artistic Director of ABD Productions) with El Salvador native Luz Mena (Associate Artistic Director), ANDARES was presented in San Salvador at the Teatro Nacional de EL Salvador from March 17 to March 19, 2017.
