Staying healthy

Follow university guidelines for prevention, which are consistent with the CDC’s recommendations. Watch for these symptoms.

What to do if you have symptoms of coronavirus or test positive for it

Speak to a medical professional immediately. Follow the advice of your healthcare provider and county officials, and self-isolate at home. Do not come to campus. Contact Human Resources, Monica Munjal:, 415.575.6191 and let her know your situation. Monica will work with you to arrange sick time and discuss the process for returning to work.

Working remotely

CIIS is committed to providing a healthy and safe workplace at any time—during this COVID-19 outbreak, it is of paramount concern.

If  your position lends itself to remote access, you should speak to your supervisor about working from home until campuses reopen. For those working from home in light of the current situation, remote access can be set up to access your CIIS files. Please contact CIIS’ IT staff, John Becker and Alex Buslovich, by filing a help ticket:

Please note, some job functions are not compatible with working remotely. In those situations, we encourage employees to adhere to preventative hygiene guidelines.
