Eahr Joan's Re-Genesis Encyclopedia

Documenting the generally untold spiritual history of women in Northern Africa, Eastern Asia, and Southern Europe in the period from 6 million BCE to 1 CE

April 11, 2016

We are excited to announce that WSE '99 M.A. Alum, reference librarian, and our archaeomythology subject matter expert Eahr Joan has completed the narrative for her monumental work Re-Genesis Encyclopedia: Synthesis of the Spiritual Dark-Motherline, Integral Research, Labyrinth Learning, and Eco-Theaology.

This encyclopedia, which Eahr Joan and CIIS are making available online with no subscription fee, documents the generally untold spiritual history of women in Northern Africa, Eastern Asia, and Southern Europe in the period from 6 million BCE to 1 CE, including our African origins.

The encyclopedia consists of over 250 essay-length entries written over a period of decades, including thousands of images from 12 years of fieldwork.

To celebrate this big milestone and this unique and valuable resource, the CIIS Laurance Rockefeller Library and the CIIS Women's Spirituality Program are co-sponsoring an event on April 29 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Mission Street Campus, as the evening portion of the annual CIIS Founders Day Symposium. Eahr Joan will introduce and demonstrate the encyclopedia, followed by a reception.

We hope that you will be able to attend. Please share with your communities!
