Estefanía was born in Peru. She has worked in the non-profit and governmental sectors in Peru, The Netherlands, and South Africa. Currently, she has a private practice as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Supervisor, and a Certified Sex Therapist and supervisor in training in Baltimore. She works as Clinical Director at a sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking nonprofit.
Estefanía’s passion is working with migrant populations who have experienced violence and sexual trauma. She has acted as an immigration court expert in gender violence cases involving Latin American population. As well as working with couples from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Estefanía's clinical and research focus is on the impact of sexual violence in underserved populations. She is interested in continuing her research on migrant sex workers in the Netherlands, as well as continue to do more research on migrant and Latin American sexual citizenship.
