Eric G. Schneider, MEd, DMin, is a sex and relationship counselor, coach and educator, for gay men in New York City. He has worked as a counselor for over 25 years and integrates a number of experiential, psychodynamic and East Asian philosophical perspectives in his clinical work with clients. He started his career at the Manhattan Center for Living in New York City at the height of the AIDS crisis back in the 80s, and was the clinical director at Friends in Deed (a not-for-profit organization) that offers spiritual and emotional support for those dealing with death, dying, grief and loss. His current research interests include "coming in" --sexual identity formation as a gay man enters into the "community," and it's impact on romantic relationship formation.
