MA, Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Alejandra Chayet is an associate professional clinical counselor specializing in sexual health and well-being. Alejandra is passionate about the power of connection between mind, body, and spirit, and she strongly integrates evidence-based mindfulness practice into her work with sexuality and relationships. Alejandra works with individuals, couples, and their families. She helps them to enrich the relationship they have with themselves, thus enhancing their capacity for self-love and self-compassion, before working on their relationships with others. She specializes in women's sexuality, body image, intimacy issues, performance anxiety, desire, and pleasure.
In addition to her private practice, Alejandra strives to advocate for sexual education; she enjoys teaching graduate students at universities in San Diego on how to talk about sex and intimacy in our communities. Alejandra plans to obtain her clinical license this year and is working to complete her AASECT sex therapist certification. She holds an MA in clinical mental health counseling from the University of San Diego.
