Karen Mahserejian is Armenian Lebanese, and currently resides in Nigeria with her husband and children. Drawn to helping others, she worked in animal shelters, Red Cross centers, and psychiatric hospitals while doing her BA in psychology at the Lebanese American University. She then worked at the Arab Human Rights Fund in Beirut, and got her certificate in art therapy in Barcelona, where she saw how powerful art and ground therapy are. These experiences made her pursue her MA in clinical counseling psychology at La Salle University. The jobs she had in Prague, Beirut, and Nigeria gave her different aspects of what therapy means to each society. She loves that transpersonal psychology addresses all aspects of our being: spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional, physical, and creative. She believes that human beings have so much potential that it would be groundbreaking to witness the healing that will take place when all these factors are taken into consideration.
