Jeffrey Sundberg, PhD, LMHC, is a researcher, psychotherapist, and educator. An entrepreneur at heart, he is currently establishing a nonprofit transpersonal and integral research institute in South Florida, focused on substance abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention. He continues to research his doctoral study, which concerned extreme occurrences of falling in love, such as amigeist, for a future book publication.

For the past 16 years, Jeffrey has practiced mental health counseling with a variety of diagnoses, such as substance abuse and acute mental illness, in inpatient, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and private practice settings. He is a licensed mental health counselor and qualified supervisor in Florida. His theoretical orientation is humanistic, existential, and transpersonal, employing cognitive behavioral, past-life regression, mindfulness, Vedic-Samadhi meditation, and EMDR interventions, to name a few.

His passion for experiential learning has taken him to live in Berlin, Germany and more recently, Sedona, Arizona. In Sedona, he learned the art of aura energy reading and other extrasensory perception skills, such as clairvoyance, clairsentience, etc. These have greatly informed his transpersonal concepts of self and world.

Jeffrey received a BS in hospitality management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an MA in counseling psychology from the University of San Francisco. His two year research internship with the School of Nursing, University of California, San Francisco, focused on areas such as intervention implementation, data gathering, mixed-methods design, and data analysis. Jeffrey has taught human sexuality in the Mental Health Counseling Masters Program at Nova Southeastern University and research intervention implementation methods at the School of Public Health at the University of Miami.
