The Inaugural Book Launch Celebration of Women’s Spirituality Studies Press
Join us as we celebrate an extraordinary milestone: the inaugural book launch of Women’s Spirituality Studies Press (WSSP).
This special evening will introduce WSSP and the mission behind our work while honoring the late Dr. Mara Lynn Keller, pioneering scholar, educator, feminist philosopher, a leader in the field of women’s spirituality, a founding Director of the Women's Spirituality program at CIIS, and the founder and major benefactor of WSSP. WSSP was among Mara’s final projects and is an important part of her legacy: creating a publishing home where groundbreaking work in women’s spirituality can be preserved, nurtured, and carried forward for generations to come.
We are honored to celebrate our inaugural publications with three extraordinary authors: Annie Finch, Mary Mackey, and Charlene Spretnak. Our authors will share reflections on their books and their work, with readings and conversation celebrating the rich history and evolving future of women’s spirituality.
Together, these books embody the vision of WSSP: preserving foundational works, amplifying contemporary voices, fostering new scholarship and creative expression, and ensuring that the field of women’s spirituality continues to grow and flourish.
Whether you have been part of the women’s spirituality movement for decades or are discovering this work for the first time, we hope you will join us for an evening of books, conversation, remembrance, community, and celebration.
