Ashton Arnoldy is a PhD student in the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness program and also works for the program as office assistant and TA. His dissertation research is focused on explicating the epistemological basis of Owen Barfield’s take on the history of consciousness. His aim is to bring Barfield’s insights into fruitful dialogue with contemporary critics of metanarratives, colonialism, and developmental models. Ashton also creates aesthetic translations of his academic work through a multimedia art project called “Also Known As.”
