Driven by a passion to understand the human mind and supported by decades of rigorous inquiry into consciousness studies, CIIS created the Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research (CPTR) in 2015. This included the first-ever university-affiliated psychedelic therapies and research certificate program, which continues to serve as the gold standard for post-graduate professional training in psychedelics. Psychedelic-assisted therapy is poised to revolutionize clinical mental health treatment, and we are leading the way.
Our center offers an immersive certificate program rooted in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies, transpersonal psychology, consciousness studies, psychoanalysis, comparative mysticism, cultural anthropology, and Indigenous plant medicine practices.

This 12-month Certificate Program is comprised of 140-150 hours of instruction across 8 class weekends, and prepares practitioners for advanced clinical work and future FDA-approved psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy research and practice.
