In these strange days many of us are searching for greater purpose and connection in our lives. We may find ourselves yearning and struggling to strip away what is not working and lean into the deeper wisdom within us to find our purpose, fulfillment, and ease. It is only through a greater understanding of our highest selves that we discover the path to the life experiences and relationships we seek. Often the self-discovery process can be sabotaged by our own shadow—our false sense of self borne out of a random assortment of subjective memories, stories, thoughts, disconnected ideas, illusions, and delusions that we seemingly hold in our mind. The shadow self can define and limit us in our quest to be our true selves.

Join Vedic scholar and spiritual teacher Acharya Shunya for an illuminating one-day online workshop exploring ancient teachings for self-discovery and soul fulfillment. Acharya Shunya strings together brilliant insights from The Bhagavad Gītā, a 700-verse conversational poem originally written in Sanskrit by the Vedic sage, Vyasa. The Bhagavad Gītā, translates to Song of the Spirit and it contains a collection of timeless wisdom applicable to people of all ages, backgrounds, and faiths. According to The Bhagavad Gītā, to be sorrow-free we must discern between the true self and shadow self.

Drawing upon her Vedic Knowledge, Acharya Shunya shines a light on the personal transformation process from which you can see through your shadow and begin stepping into your greater potential every day. The true self is limitlessly creative, blissful, and boundless in nature. Archarya Shunya shares how to pierce your suffering mind and the shadows it casts to experience your true self.

Through a mix of online lecture, guided meditation, and interactive exercises, Acharya Shunya leads you towards a celebration of yourself for who you are, as you are. Discover how to stop shaming, blaming, hurting yourself. Learn how to embrace love, happiness, and acceptance from others. These teachings enable greater authenticity in all of your interactions and will help you navigate towards the life your higher self wants you to lead.

Awaken your boundless self, write your own life script, and soar in your own consciousness.

Please note that this one-day workshop will be hosted live online. Instructions on how to join will be included in your event confirmation email. If you need additional assistance finding or joining the event, please email publicprograms@ciis.edu.
