Trauma and chronic stress are held in the body, restricting our breath, blocking the flow of bioenergy, limiting the natural expression of feeling, connection, and essence, and leaving a deep emotional impact that can give rise to a range of feelings, including profound sadness, anger, disbelief, anxiety, or even guilt.
BioDynamic Breathwork is a profound and revolutionary system of embodiment and breathwork that integrates deep connected breathing with specially designed practices to release stress held in your nervous system and expand your capacity to contain and support the free flow of your energy.
If you’re looking to clear the traumatic blockages that affect your mental and physical health, join somatic therapist, transformational workshop facilitator, and educator Prema McKeever for a transformative two-day workshop exploring the BioDynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System® 6-Element approach to empower your body’s natural process for healing. Prema supports you in opening your breath and body as you gently move through layers of body tension, discovering where and how past trauma and emotional stress is being stored in your physical body.
You’ll explore the use of breath as the main tool for creating change on the somatic level, along with supporting practices of movement, touch, sound, conscious emotional expression, and meditation. In addition to Breathwork practices and sessions, Prema shares valuable information on the anatomy of breathwork, the physiology of trauma, and the key role of embodiment and somatic practices in releasing trauma without feelings of overwhelm and drain. Releasing our core tension unbinds incredible amounts of energy, which can fuel creativity, improve meditation, and help us live more fully.
This two-day online workshop is suitable for anyone with a passion for breathwork or those who are simply curious about the power of the breath-body connection and embodied approaches to healing from trauma and easing stress.
Prema McKeever, MS, SEP, is a somatic therapist, transformational workshop facilitator and educator who combines more than 20 years of experience in Eastern medicine, meditation, emotional release work, and body-mind therapies.
While treating thousands of patients as a doctor of Chinese medicine, Prema saw how vital our emotional health is for our physical health. This led to being trained in multiple emotional and trauma-healing modalities, including BioDynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release, Somatic Experiencing, and Hakomi.
Prema’s own personal journey of healing has taken her from the homes of shamans in the jungles of Peru, to Sufi gatherings in Turkey, to the ashrams of India. In individual sessions and groups, her focus is on releasing the trauma held in our bodies so we can create a healthier, authentic and more passion filled life.
