Biography
Seth Pardo, PhD, is a nationally recognized social scientist, psychologist, and public health researcher, with a breadth of experience in human beingness, lifespan transitions, and social determinants of health. He is well-versed in lean thinking, change management, and how to keep data science fun, meaningful, and actionable. Dr. Pardo holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Cornell University, and holds an adjunct appointment with the California Institute of Integral Studies. Prior to his career in public health, Dr. Pardo completed a two-year clinical research fellowship with Dr. Nassir Ghaemi, MD (Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School). Since 2012, Dr. Pardo has led various initiatives within the San Francisco Department of Public Health including a federally-funded behavioral health and primary care service integration project for people living with or at risk for HIV, co-authored the sexual orientation and gender identity data collection guidelines and training modules for staff, and co-led the formation and maturation of Gender Health SF, the nation’s first peer-led education, preparation and medically-necessary surgery access support service agency for trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive individuals who are under-resourced and under/uninsured in San Francisco.
