Jun Wang, PhD, Associate Professor and Director of the DAOM program of ACTCM at CIIS,  has a Bachelor of Chinese Medicine from the Capital University of Medical Science, Beijing China, and a Ph.D. of Medical Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She had an acupuncture license of North Carolina, and had held core faculty positions at the Integrative Medical Program, School of Medicine, UNC- Chapel Hill and San Francisco State University. Dr. Wang was the previous president of the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, California. Author and co-author of a number of books and journal articles, Dr. Wang's teaching and research interests include anthropological and historical research on Chinese medicine, health and medical utilization of Chinese American community, and traditional healing arts.
