Critical Sexuality Studies: Online Info Session

A Faculty-Led Info Session with Chair/Professor Michelle Marzullo, Ph.D. and Program Manager Lianne Hope

The Department of Human Sexuality is now offering a Master of Science in Critical Sexuality Studies. Applications opened August 1 for the Fall 2025 cohort. The new M.S. curriculum helps students understand the research, practice, and cultural dialogue around a wide variety of sexuality-related subjects, and emphasizes intersectional and critical views of sexuality. Through coursework, students undergo an analysis of power structures by exploring the many socio-cultural organizations of sex and gender that influence societies. We offer three distinct areas of emphasis: sex tech, public health analysis, and sex counseling.

Graduates from our program go on to work in research, clinical settings, sexual health and sexuality education, advocacy, for-profit and non-profit organizations, independent consulting practices, and higher education. An M.S. in Critical Sexuality Studies can prepare students for certification by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).

During this info session you will have the chance to speak with program faculty to ask questions about the curriculum and understand how an M.S. in Critical Sexuality Studies can help you meet your educational and career goals.
