Therapy is a safe container for exploring the inner workings of the unique being that is you. Together, we can unpack your stories, beliefs, habits, and experiences to understand more about what makes you tick, including the parts that may feel challenging or unwanted. So much of how we operate is happening on an unconscious level. Somatic therapy in particular can help shine a light under the hood and bring more spaciousness and choice to our reactions, experiences, and relationships. Ideally, therapy can help you fill out your own personal operating manual so that you can be in the driver’s seat of your life – while still navigating an imperfect and challenging world.
My approach to therapy is informed by mindfulness, kinesthetic empathy, attunement, curiosity and play. Experience with bodywork, movement, somatic Nonviolent Communication, the Hakomi method, polyvagal theory, parts work, expressive arts, and communion with the natural world shape my sessions.
