In this interactive workshop, we’ll look at the MFA Project from conception to development to the emergence of the art and the artist in the world. You’ll learn how to identify the DNA of a large work from a line, an image, a story, a gesture; how to build on your strengths; and how to conceptualize and complete a project that will challenge and change you.

Topics include:

•How the personal and specific can be keys to the universal
•Courage, humility, and strangeness
•The superpowers of community and a deadline You’ll come away with a one-sentence vision of a project you might undertake, and practical tips for navigating the duration and trajectory of an ambitious work.
