Additional Information
Rafiki Coalition is a community mental health training program rooted in serving the San Francisco community. Trainees gain experience working with a diverse population and a wide range of presenting issues, while learning how to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists, agencies, and other professionals. The program provides support to develop the skills necessary for a successful career across private practice, public, and nonprofit sectors.
Our training emphasizes competency in diverse theoretical orientations and the integration of evidence-based practices, preparing trainees to provide flexible, responsive, and research-informed care.
We also prioritize culturally tailored services and the practice of cultural humility, ensuring that trainees learn to honor the identities, values, cultural and spiritual practices, and lived experiences of the individuals, families, and communities we serve.
Through both supervision and didactic training, the program provides opportunities for personal and professional development, supporting trainees as they grow in clinical competence, self-awareness, and career readiness.
