EVENT DESCRIPTION

Non-binary therapist, certified sex therapist, and transgender diversity and inclusion educator Rae McDaniel has spent decades exploring gender. Combining what they know from working with queer and trans communities, their personal journey of gender exploration, and clinical best practices, Rae created the Gender Freedom Model. This uniquely supportive narrative for gender exploration and transition is grounded in queer joy and has helped thousands of transgender and non-binary individuals explore gender through play, pleasure, and freedom.

Rae’s work centers on helping individuals move from anxiety, self-doubt, and fear to a confident, proactive state of mind where they can experience their gender in new, expansive ways. Rae teaches how to navigate discomfort and celebrate your inherent worth as you develop genuine self-love, and how to design relationships, community, and a sex life that lights you up. Rae's recent book, Gender Magic, is a first-of-its-kind practical guide to achieving gender freedom with joy, curiosity, and pleasure for transgender and non-binary individuals, gender explorers, and those who love them.

Join Rae for an empowering conversation on stepping into your fullest self and imagining a life beyond gender binaries. By moving beyond a limiting binary definition of gender, Rae invites us all to align gender identity and expression with our most authentic self.

Rae McDaniel is a non-binary therapist, certified sex therapist, coach, and transgender diversity and inclusion educator. They are the founder and CEO of Practical Audacity, a gender and sex therapy practice in Chicago, and an international speaker on gender freedom. As an expert in sexuality and gender exploration, they have been featured in places such as the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, Time, Women’s Health, Well+Good, Refinery29, Bustle, Elite Daily, Entrepreneur, and the Independent. Rae holds degrees from DePaul University and the University of Michigan and is certified by AASECT. They live in Chicago with their dog, Gizmo, who might actually be a gremlin.
