It is increasingly difficult to find hope and wonder in a world that breeds disillusionment and disconnection. Our modern lifestyle encourages separation from our intuition and from the magic of the world around us. Disillusionment can lead to feelings of anxiety, isolation, and even depression.

Working with dreams, myths, and symbols can awaken our capacity for enchantment and wonder. Through inquiry and practice, we can move from a place of anxiety and disillusionment to one of wonder, connection, and inspiration.

Join author and CIIS Professor Craig Chalquist for a unique, experiential dive into dreams and the subconscious as a means of reconnecting to ourselves, and to all living beings.

Most current work with dreams, symbols, and the unconscious stops at self-discovery— my dreams, my symbols, getting to know my unconscious—but as Carl Jung observed, our inner life can tell us quite a lot about what’s going on collectively. This workshop invites you to discover what symbol, story, and myth can teach you about your dreams and how the meanings behind them are often so much more—they are the stories of our time.

Craig shares tools for personal dream interpretation and storytelling as well as eco-exercises for connecting with the natural world. Learn several approaches to dream and myth to extend yourself into ecological modes of seeing and reconnecting to a world ensouled.

While tracing our dreams’ outer-world echoes, connections, and counterparts, we may find that the dream is not in us so much as we are in it. Leave with practices that can help you reconnect to wonder and enchantment.
