Program Overview
Professional Requirements
The Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research has historically prioritized applicants with a professional background in psychological treatment and research with diverse populations, behavioral medicine, trauma and PTSD, palliative care, hospice, psychiatry, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, oncology, mediation and resolution, and/or pain management.
With the current expansion of admission eligibility for people who will be facilitators in the field, we also highly encourage professionals with a bachelor's degree and advanced graduate degrees who, though they may lack a clinical license in the above areas, have coursework and/or work experience in various areas of mental health; wellness coaching; medical administration; law; philosophy, music and the arts; the sciences; guidance counseling; social work; etc.
The Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research especially welcomes applications from eligible individuals who identify as BIPOC; identify as LGBTQIA+; are military veterans/service members; are CIIS faculty, students, alumni, supervisors, adjuncts, and staff; and/or serve under-resourced and under-represented populations in various ways in their employment and volunteer work.
