Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Clinic
Where ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is practiced as it should be — as profound psychotherapy, supported by medicine.
What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?
The Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Clinic at the California Institute of Integral Studies offers a unique model of care that places psychotherapy at the center of treatment. As the first training clinic of its kind in San Francisco, we provide low-fee access to KAP while training the next generation of skilled KAP therapists. Our approach recognizes ketamine as one ally within a comprehensive therapeutic relationship — not a standalone intervention, but a catalyst that can deepen and accelerate psychological work when integrated with skilled, relationally-attuned psychotherapy. This clinic serves both clients seeking effective treatment for conditions like treatment-resistant depression and postdoctoral psychology students learning to practice this emerging modality with clinical depth, ethical awareness, and therapeutic proficiency.
Our Services
The Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Clinic offers high-quality body-mind-spirit psychotherapy. We welcome individuals, couples and partners, youth, and families of all ages, genders, racial and cultural backgrounds, bodily expressions, and sexual orientations.
Our clinicians are specifically trained to hold space for and navigate challenging moments with you. Our approach recognizes ketamine as one ally within a comprehensive therapeutic relationship — not a standalone intervention, but a catalyst that can deepen and accelerate psychological work when integrated with skilled, relationally-attuned psychotherapy.
The Clinic provides a safe and supportive setting for the exploration of a wide range of life's issues—emotional, interpersonal, and developmental.
We help clients take a closer look at a variety of life’s challenges, including:
- Treatment-resistant depression (depression that hasn't responded adequately to standard treatments)
- Major depressive disorder
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Chronic anxiety disorders
- Suicidal ideation (when outpatient treatment is appropriate for the client)
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Certain grief and loss presentations

Our Team
Our model honors both the medical safety and the therapeutic depth that make KAP effective. We do not just administer ketamine; we create the conditions for genuine healing. The medicine opens doors; the therapy helps you walk through them and integrate what you discover on the other side.
Please note: We cannot guarantee that any specific therapist will be available to work with you.
