Biography

Alison Gause, MPH, CN-BA brings over 14 years of patient navigation experience to teaching Health Care Navigation. She received her Master’s in Public Health from University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a specialization in community health education. She’s held leadership roles in community-based research in breast cancer survivorship and hospital quality improvement. In collaboration with MarinHealth Medical Center and Miwok Equestrian Center, she facilitated the Horses as Healers equine therapy program for cancer survivors. Alison holds a Breast Patient Navigator Certification through the National Consortium of Breast Centers. She enjoys sharing her passion for understanding the complexities of healthcare delivery and engaging students to identify new opportunities to improve health, client support and well-being.
