Biography

Adriana was born in Brazil and has a background in Visual Arts Education. After a career change, she felt called to pursue a master's degree in East-West Psychology at CIIS, which brought her to the U.S. in 2016. At CIIS, her love for integral education brought her to serve the community in different ways. For a time, she was a fellow at the Center for Writing and Scholarship, and later on became the Program Coordinator of the Bridge Program, where she developed the program’s main curriculum and taught as lead instructor. She has also taught in the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and worked as Program Coordinator at the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Some of her experience in other communities around the Bay Area include being a grantee in the Wellness in Action program at the Center for Empowering Refugees and Immigrants where she facilitated skill-building and process groups for Brazilian women; and doing counseling work in nature-based programs for diverse groups of children and teenagers. In 2023, she joined the EWP department to serve the community in its brand-new Student Advisor role, where she supports EWP students in successfully navigating and completing their academic endeavors. Throughout it all, she has also kept a private practice of holistic writing mentorship and Astrology and Tarot reading.
