- Special Event: Online Office Hour with Lily Ritchie
This is an open office hour for applicants to the Somatic Psychology and Integral Counseling Psychology program at CIIS. This event is a drop-in office hour and is intended specifically for applicants. Those curious to learn more about the program will be directed to an upcoming information session as this is designed for folx attempting to meet the priority deadline on 2/15/22.
Founded in 1973, the Integral Counseling Psychology Program was the first transpersonally oriented psychology graduate program in the world. Drawing upon the major spiritual traditions of the East and West, recent cultural and social sciences research, and the innovations made by contemporary psychoanalytic, humanistic, systemic and transpersonal psychologies, the ICP program views psychological healing and growth within the larger context of spiritual unfolding.
Since its inception in 1980, the Somatic Psychology program at CIIS has developed a unique learning environment that combines experiential work, rigorous academics, and a deep commitment to community. As one of only three accredited programs in the United States that prepares students to use both conventional and body-oriented approaches to psychotherapy, our Somatic Psychology program teaches a developmental sociocultural perspective that explores how embodied affect, expression, identity, and interaction are formed in individuals, families, and communities.
