Tony Bossis: Psychedelic Drug Therapy

Psychologist and NYU researcher Dr. Tony Bossis reviews one of the first FDA-approved clinical trials of psychedelic drugs since research was effectively banned in the 1970s. His work is part of the recent renaissance in psychedelic studies, with results suggesting that psilocybin and other hallucinogens may help treat anxiety, addiction, end-of-life distress, and shed light on the neurobiology of mystical experience.
