The climate crisis is a mental health crisis. Are you ready to meet it with skill, compassion, and clarity?
The climate crisis is not just ecological, it’s psychological. From climate anxiety to community trauma, the emotional toll is growing.
The Climate Psychology Certificate at CIIS prepares you to meet this moment with confidence, compassion, and relevance.
In this 5-weekend, fully online program, you'll learn to navigate the emotional dimensions of the climate crisis in clinical settings and beyond, while building community resilience, supporting organizational change, and deepening your own therapeutic framework.
This course turned my own ideas about what my career “should” be inside out. I feel more authentic, creative, and bold as an early career psychologist after taking this class. I would highly recommend it to anyone who senses their work as a psychologist can and should be deeply connected to the polycrisis of our time.

Why Climate Psychology?
At its core, climate psychology is not just about addressing trauma, it's about catalyzing transformation. The ecological crisis holds the potential to awaken a deeper sense of connection, responsibility, and belonging.
This training explores how the challenges we face today are also rooted in a deeper crisis of imagination, interconnection, and meaning. Through a clinical lens, we explore how therapists can help guide both individuals and communities toward resilience, equity, and renewal.
