As we continue to monitor the increase in COVID cases in California and guidance from both state and local officials, we regret to report that Institutes of Higher Learning (IHE) in San Francisco are now required to pause face-to-face student interactions until further notice. This means that students are no longer permitted into the building to use CIIS resources, such as Financial Aid, Business Office, Library, and study spaces. Also, ICP and ACTCM in-person courses will be virtualized.
We are in conversation with the San Francisco Department of Public Health regarding a forthcoming health and safety plan, which, if approved, may allow for some face-to-face student interactions to resume. We will update you when we have definitive plans.
While student campus access is presently suspended, all student services remain available.
As a reminder, both the Mission and Arkansas campuses will continue to allow limited access for staff and faculty to complete essential work. Student worker positions are expected to be virtual, unless otherwise approved by your supervisor and with the advance approval of the Director of Operations and Facilities who is charged with monitoring CIIS’ compliance with the health regulations.
Thank you in advance for your continued understanding and patience. If COVID-19 has taught us anything it is that flexibility is essential for keeping our community safe.
Wishing you well during this difficult time.
Monica (Director of Operations & Facilities) and Yunny (Dean of Students)
