A common misconception of feng shui in our modern age is that it's a panacea designed to fix everything that's out of balance in our homes and lives. This way of thinking does not align with traditional Chinese feng shui, which is a wisdom science that compels us to look at ourselves in time and space and ask-where and when are we, and what would be appropriate?

Traditional Chinese feng shui looks at how we can create harmony between our environment, both built and natural, as well as unseen vibrational factors. In this way we balance earthly qi with heaven's qi, and align it precisely with where we are in our life journey. We assess what's good about something, to actually develop an eye for what's meaningful and valuable.

This workshop offers an exploration of the deep underlying principles, philosophy, and cosmology of this art and science with an emphasis on practical applications to take back to your home and business. No matter who you are or where you're from, you can benefit from learning and applying these ancient tools.

Manu Butterworth, who grew up in London, found himself not wanting to leave New York City while on a business trip in 1990.

He stayed (illegally), and in 1991 began his exploration into the world of natural health. While studying macrobiotic philosophy, shiatsu massage and nutritional counseling he came across the subject of feng shui. He formerly began studying and practicing in 1995 and has been an avid student ever since.

Manu has since studied extensively with Liu Ming, Howard Choy, Alex Stark, William Spear, and others. Of particular interest to Manu is empowering people to feel inspired to take responsibility for their personal well-being.

In 2002 Manu moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and founded Golden Gate Feng Shui School. His vision for the school has always been to authentically disseminate and preserve Feng Shui and other Ancient Wisdom Sciences.
