In light of the shelter-in-place directive from the San Francisco Department of Public Health, and our continued commitment to helping reduce the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the difficult decision to cancel all CIIS Public Programs events through April 30.

As a result, Mindfulness in Sexuality and Intimacy on April 25-26 is cancelled at this time.

If you have tickets for this event, you should have received an email notifying you of the cancellation and your ticket fees should have been refunded in full. If you did not receive any information from us, please email publicprograms@ciis.edu so that we can assist you.

While we know you can’t join us in person right now, we invite you to connect with us on our podcast and listen to our hundreds of archived talks and conversations.

These are unprecedented times, and non-profit organizations that present public events like ours are facing an uncertain future. Ticket sales from CIIS Public Programs events provide crucial support to the University, and this support will be affected by these cancellations. If you would like to support our work, and help to ensure the future of Public Programs and CIIS, we invite you to make a tax-deductible donation equal to the cost of a ticket. It’s a small action that can have a big impact on the future of CIIS Public Programs.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call us at 415-575-6175 or email us at publicprograms@ciis.edu. We look forward to seeing you at events in the future.

How can we feel more sexual pleasure? How can we release shame? How can we unwind the constriction and stress we feel and hold in our bodies?

Join sex and intimacy coach Kai Wu for an empowering workshop exploring the connection between pleasure and embodied presence. Learn energetics and the mechanics of pleasure and touch to experience the sacred in your body and in your erotic life.

Drawing upon her expertise in somatics, mindfulness, sacred sexuality, and ritual, Kai invites you to feel more pleasure in your body and reclaim your erotic self. Using erotic pleasure and relational intimacy as the gateway, participants are supported on a journey that includes movement, touch, the power of story, experiential practices, and play.

Kai helps you restore a sense of wonder and possibility by shifting unwanted sexual patterns and unwinding body shame to celebrate the whole-body love. Learn to replace unhelpful messages and beliefs with nourishing practices you can engage in by yourself or with another. Understand how to quiet your mind and feel greater ease in your body.

Humans of all kinds, partnered or solo are welcome. You will be lovingly held and supported in a sex-affirming space that celebrates all bodies, expressions, and orientations. Although we will be engaging with our erotic energy within a community of like-minded seekers and journeyers, all practices and demos will be clothed.

Reclaim your pleasure as a sacred offering to life.
