The fact that more babies are born nine months after any social catastrophe is proof enough that our urge to merge increases during times of stress! However, dating can often feel overwhelming, isolating, or like a game that you don’t want to play even during the best of times. From navigating online dating to dealing with ghosting, modern dating can cause a lot of stress and suffering whether we’re in a pandemic or not. How can we learn to bring our whole selves to dating to discover more fun, resiliency, and connection?
Join relationship specialist and meditation teacher Maryanne Comaroto for this interactive workshop exploring how mindful dating can help boost your confidence, minimize the game playing, clarify what you really want, and identify self-defeating patterns that are getting in your way of finding partnership.
Maryanne helps participants navigate dating during these challenging times and beyond, by staying open-hearted and finding others who are open. Learn how to set yourself up for positive experiences in distance dating online, on Zoom, and in person. Cultivate and use your peace practices to help attract a potential partner. Turn your bottled-up passion into creativity and develop more authentic approaches to intimacy despite the constraints.
No matter what your age, orientation, or reason for seeking partnership, explore how mindfulness practice can help you stay connected with your best self, and make better choices while seeking partnership during this unprecedented time in history!
This event will be hosted live online. Instructions on how to join will be included in your event confirmation email. If you need additional assistance finding or joining the event, please email publicprograms@ciis.edu.
