Bio

Sara H. Salazar, PhD, is a second-generation Chicana activist, educator, and community organizer. She earned her MA and PhD in Philosophy and Religion with a concentration in Women's Spirituality from the California Institute of Integral Studies and her BA in English Literature from Saint Mary's College- Notre Dame (Indiana). A teacher for 20 years, she has taught all levels of education, from elementary school to graduate studies, in a variety of locations, such as Chicago, Honolulu, San Francisco, Oaxaca, Mexico, and Rome, Italy. She is currently a lecturer in the School of Undergraduate Studies at CIIS.
