Biography

Tanya Wilkinson, PhD, is a Feminist artist and author based in San Francisco. She is the author of: Medea's Folly: Women's Relationships and the Search for Intimacy (1998), Page Mill Press, Persephone Returns: Victims, Heroes, and the Journey from the Underworld (1996),  Page Mill Press, and Women’s Dreams and Nightmares (2018), Smashwords. She was a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies for 38 years.

Dr. Wilkinson’s artwork typically focuses on gender politics and dynamics. Her first career, as a Jungian Psychotherapist, fostered a deep interest in archetypal stories—fairytales, legends and myths. These tales continue to inspire her art.
