Biography

Robert M Grant, M.D., MPH, MHS, CMT is a physician with 7 years of experience in the practice of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. He graduated from the CIIS CPTR in its inaugural year in 2016 and has continued as a mentor in the program. He is certified as an Internal Family Systems Therapist, and has trained in CBT and EMDR. He supported MDMA and psilocybin research approved by the FDA. He is the founder of the Healing Realms clinics in San Francisco, Ashland, and Brooklyn. Healing Realms provides ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and teaches courses in ketamine therapy (see healingrealms.com). Prior to a series of transformative personal experiences in 2014, he led HIV/AIDS research for 30 years including pioneering the development of HIV preexposure prophylaxis for prevention of HIV acquisition. PrEP is now recommended by the FDA, CDC, CMS, and the WHO and has shaped clinical practice globally. He is a part-time professor of medicine at UCSF where he continues to practice pulmonary, sleep, and critical care medicine.
