Biography

Mr. Robert M. Clark, Jr. is an adjunct professor at California Institute of Integral Studies (since 2021) in the School of Undergraduate Studies. Prior to CIIS, he was a tenured faculty member (counselor, professor, department chairperson) at City College of San Francisco (between 1988-2022) within the UMOJA/African American Scholastic Programs. Earlier in his professional career, he also worked as a part-time faculty member at Merritt College, the College of Alameda and Chabot College. Mr. Clark is heavily involved in community organizations, having started five of his own nonprofits. He was formerly the 21st International Grand Polaris of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. (2013-2017), active member of the San Francisco Bay Area Council of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. and member of Bayview Lodge, #64, San Francisco, Prince Hall Masons. He was also a Chief Warrant Officer (CW2, retired) in the California State Guard (Search & Rescue Detachment), and currently serves as a Diversity Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and member of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue Team.
