Biography
Robert Strayhan, M.D., is a physician specializing in psychiatry. He has had a lifelong interest in cross-cultural and transpersonal psychiatry. He is a 2020 graduate of the CPTR program. He has completed the Three-Year Program of Advanced Initiations in Shamanism and Shamanic Healing, as taught by Michael Harner, Ph.D. He is particularly interested in examining how the construct of race can influence the set and setting of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. He has personally benefited from the study of various meditation techniques and has been a practitioner of Systema (a Russian martial art), Tai Chi, and Afro-centric martial arts.
