Biography
Keith Williams, Ph.D., lives in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, where he is amazed by the Bay of Fundy tides on an almost daily basis. Keith works as an Assistant Professor of educational studies at Athabasca University. His research, and life, focuses on better understanding how to be in good relations with our more-than-human kin. Keith’s work draws heavily on Haudenosaunee teachings (he is part Mohawk and Dutch on his father’s side), posthuman philosophy, and his lived experience with family members—human and otherwise. Keith has an undergraduate degree in plant science, a master’s in mycology, and a Ph.D. in educational studies with a focus on Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
