Biography
Celiane Camargo-Borges, Ph.D., is a researcher-practitioner working at the interface of psychology, design thinking, social construction, social innovation, and systems thinking. She is an intercultural or multicultural person. Born and raised in Brazil, she moved as a young adult to England to learn the language. From there, in her typical mode of curiosity, she discovered a world outside of Brazil and has never stopped moving and exploring. After England, her next step was the USA for her PhD, and then on to Taiwan, Singapore, and finally to The Netherlands. All these movements, and the intertwined experiences that have accompanied them, have given Celiane the expertise and passion to work with diversity within international teams, as well as to grow an international network where she collaborates on developing projects for social impact in communities and organizations.
Celiane is a senior Lecturer and Researcher at Breda University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands, where she is a member of the research group Transversal Sustainability Transitions. She is also a Faculty member and a member of the Executive Board of the Taos Institute. She is the author of several articles and a contributor to a variety of handbooks such as The Sage Handbook of Social Constructionist Practice (SAGE publisher), The Handbook of Arts-Based Research (Guilford Press), and The Handbook for Creative Futures (Taylor & Francis/Routledge).
