Biography

Bruce Alderman is an experienced educator, facilitator, and thought-leader with an extensive background in integral psychology and transformative studies. His professional journey spans over three decades, and three continents, marked by significant contributions in teaching, workshop facilitation, and leadership roles in both educational and business settings. Bruce completed his Master of Arts in Integral Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, specializing in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology. He later served as an Affiliate Faculty member and twice as Interim Chair of the Consciousness and Transformative Studies department at the same institution, alongside teaching various courses in psychology, philosophy, leadership, spirituality, and new cosmology.

Bruce's contribution to the field extends beyond the classroom. As the Founder and Co-host of The Integral Stage YouTube channel, he has created a platform for discourse on spirituality, philosophy, transformative leadership, and personal and cultural evolution. His work with the Institute of Applied Metatheory and the Archdisciplinary Research Center, where he serves as a consultant and project developer, reflects his commitment to applying integrative thinking to global challenges. As an integral spiritual minister, Bruce also served as the co-founder and board member for the Foundation for Integral Religion and Spirituality, an organization dedicated to spiritual education and interfaith co-ordination.

Bruce's writings have appeared in multiple journals and anthologies, such as The Journal of Integral Theory and Practice, Consciousness Journal, Dancing with Sophia: Integral Philosophy on the Verge, and Wir Vielen in dieser einen Welt: Unsere Weltanschauung weiterentwickeln für den nachhaltigen Umbau unserer Zivilisation; and he has presented award-winning papers at prominent conferences such as the biannual Integral Theory Conference and the Stanford University Contemplation by Design Conference. Bruce has also led panel discussions and experiential practices at multiple retreats and workshops around the world. His multifaceted approach to spirituality has been greatly influenced by his commitment to spiritual practices in Buddhist, Bön, Christian, Diamond Approach, TSK, and eco-spiritual lineages. This experience with transformative modalities from multiple global traditions, including the Finder’s Course, as well as his training in psychotherapeutic counseling, coaching, and group facilitation, have uniquely prepared him for his new role as the Associate Director and Co-Facilitator of the Blue Sky Leaders program.
