Biography
Alicia Stephens, RDT, specializes in working with adults and children diagnosed with PTSD. She uses embodied approaches to serve people living through the impact of traumatic experiences such as gun violence, early childhood neglect and sexual abuse/assault. She is the Co-Director of the “Miss Kendra Program”, which is a trauma informed drama therapy based program for children in K-12 schools in over 56 schools across the US. She is also lead faculty for the practitioner training at the Developmental Transformations (DvT) Institute in San Francisco. At the intersections of her own identity as a queer, brown, femme, disabled, desi immigrant, Alicia is particularly interested in connecting with students, and clients who navigating their own identities and histories within the systemic power structures that surround us.
