Dear CIIS Community,

We hope everyone is having a successful Fall 2021 semester. As we plan for Spring classes and work to remain congruent with both CDC and San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) guidelines we want to update you on the COVID protocols at CIIS.

We are very happy to say that we will have many more classes and intensives on campus and in-person for Spring.  And it remains true that everyone entering the CIIS Mission building will have to be fully vaccinated, verified and cleared to enter the building.  Anyone not verified as vaccinated, or with an approved exemption, will not be able to enter the building.

We will again have a process for both medical and religious exemptions to the vaccine requirement.  The Virus Task Force Exemptions Committee will be sending out information about how to request an exemption (including links to the forms and an FAQ page) early next week.

Current basics:

  • As of October 15, SFDPH is easing masking requirements for offices, gyms, and certain other settings (including colleges and universities) with 100% full vaccination.
  • This means that fully vaccinated CIIS community members will no longer be required to wear masks inside the building--as always, this can change quickly so please continue to check the COVID information page on our website for the latest information about campus access and safety guidelines.
  • If you need the link to upload your vaccination status contact vaxverify@ciis.edu
  • For complete vaccine verification information please visit: Vaccine Verification Process | CIIS

As always, our top priority is to ensure the safety of our community and to facilitate the educational goals of our students. We are looking forward to a robust semester with so many of our students and faculty back on campus for Spring 2022.

Warmly,

Virus Task Force
