Sabrina (Brea) Rock was part of the inaugural cohort for the Integral and Transpersonal PhD Program at CIIS. While completing coursework, she has been teaching psychology and addiction counseling at a community college on the central coast of California. She completed her undergraduate studies at Cal State San Marcos, receiving bachelor's degrees in both psychology and women’s studies. She has a background in quantitative research methods as well as social justice activism. Her graduate work was at Alliant International University in San Diego. She earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Consulting Psychology, where her research focus was on workplace spirituality and social entrepreneurship. She was drawn to the field of transpersonal psychology out of her struggle to integrate research on spiritual principles within the context of main stream psychology's strictly scientific paradigm. Finding CIIS was a momentous turning point. She is grateful for the opportunity to be of service to the ITP Program and community that have affected her own life so deeply.
