Her dissertation, “The Everyday Spirituality of Women in the Italian Alps: A Trentino American Woman’s Search for Spiritual Agency, Folk Wisdom, and Ancestral Values” received the 2014 Kore Award granted by the Association for the Study of Women and Society. Published articles include: “Submerged Spirituality in the Italian Alps: Goddesses, Ancestresses, and Women’s Ritual in the Archeological Record” (2020) and “Wild Women of the Waters: Remembering the Anguane of the Italian Alps“ (2016). She co-edited, along with Mary Saracino, the award-winning anthology She Is Everywhere! Volume 3: An anthology of writings in womanist/feminist spirituality (2012). With her research, writings, and presentations, Mary Beth’s aim is encouraging others to tell their stories and to make their own ancestral journey.
