Lesley Jackson, PhD, holds a doctorate in Transformative Studies from CIIS. She has a MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs, and a BA in Psychology and Sociology with a concentration in Women's Studies, all from Michigan State University, in East Lansing, Michigan. Dr. Jackson has not only served as a leadership consultant, but as an administrator and educator at several institutions of higher education, including Michigan State University and Marygrove College. In addition, she has developed, facilitated, and managed programs for diverse organizations, including social services, community organizations, interfaith centers, parenting and youth development organizations, women's empowerment groups, fortune 500 companies, institutions of higher education, and vocational training schools.
Dr. Jackson is passionate about personal growth as a means to meaningful individual and social change. She uses transdisciplinary methods to study the nature of self-creation and co-creative processes, self-care, and the application of mind/body/spirit practices as they pertain to well-being, change, learning, and development. Other research interests include leadership, higher education, transformative learning, creative inquiry, complexity, coaching, sociology and spiritual intelligence.
