Jessica Bockler is an applied theatre practitioner and transpersonal psychologist with specialism in expressive arts and embodied imagination. She is a Sesame Practitioner, trained at the Sesame Institute, London, in the use of story, drama and movement as a vehicle to work with soul. In her ongoing performance training, Jessica has spent two decades exploring the actor’s craft as a vehicle for personal growth and development, engaging with creative practitioners in a broad spectrum of contexts: from esoteric and ritual-based theatre, to the lineage of Jerzy Grotowski in Poland and UK, to physical theatre ensembles in Italy and Denmark, to corporate performance coaching. Jessica specialises in transpersonal and somatic approaches to creative practice, combining expressive arts and martial arts to enhance mindfulness and body awareness. She is a co-founding director of the Alef Trust (www.aleftrust.org), a global learning provider which offers graduate education programmes in consciousness studies, spirituality and transpersonal psychology, including Master’s and PhD programmes accredited by several UK universities. Jessica is also the Director of Creative Alternatives (www.creativealternatives.org.uk), an arts and mental health service which operates in the Northwest of the UK. Main areas of expertise:
