Dr. Bergman received her PhD in nutritional biology with a minor in education from the University of California, Davis,and has been dedicated to empowering individuals to make healthy choices through the development, implementation, and assessment of innovative health and wellness programming and education for nearly 10 years.

She has published a variety of health and wellness curricula in collaboration with the California Department of Education, the UC CalFresh Nutrition Education Program, and UC Davis's Center for Nutrition in Schools. Dr. Bergman also has a rich background in college-level instruction and has served as an adjunct professor for UC Davis, Saint Mary's College of California, and a variety of community colleges throughout California where she has taught the science and application of nutrition, human nutrition for allied health sciences, sports nutrition, and health and wellness.

Dr. Bergman has a passion for performance fitness and has worked with intercollegiate athletes, competitive sports teams, and firefighters to help them reach their optimal potential. Additionally, she has spent some time in the tech field as vice president of a sports nutrition start-up company where she engaged in customer discovery, market validation, content development, research grant writing, and co-authoring research publications for their primary tool, the NuLi Fitness mobile application. 

Dr. Bergman teaches Stress Management and Fitness.
