Doug Ronning, MA, LMFT, RDT-BCT (Half-time) is a drama therapist and Lead Games Therapist with TheraThrive in Lafayette, California, where he specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults who are neurodivergent. In his clinical practice he integrates HRV biofeedback, expressive arts, and drama therapy. He also facilitates role-play game groups that focus on social-emotional interaction, values clarification, and identity expansion. Doug has completed Level II training in the Integrative Five Phase Model of Drama Therapy. Additionally, Doug is the creator of the event series Monster Movie Salon which combines drama therapy with film and cultural studies. He has written articles and co-authored chapters on drama therapy and is a produced screenwriter. Formerly, he was the Program Director for Ohlhoff Outpatient Programs in San Francisco and a Clinical Supervisor at Westside Community Services. In addition, he has served as a Board Member of the North American Drama Therapy Association.
